Academics
The Secondary Technical Education Program (STEP) at Anoka-Hennepin Schools offers students a hands-on, career-focused academic experience that blends traditional coursework with real-world technical training. At STEP, high school students can explore fields such as health sciences, engineering, automotive technology, culinary arts, digital media, and more—all while earning high school credit and, in many cases, industry certifications. The program emphasizes practical skills, problem-solving, and career readiness, preparing students to transition smoothly into college programs, apprenticeships, or the workforce.
